Seitoku Igarashi1937~不明 五十嵐晴徳

Igarashi Seitoku (1937-) is a Japanese-style painter (Nihonga) from Niigata Prefecture. He became a student of Okuda Genso in 1971 and has primarily exhibited at the Nitten (Japan Art Exhibition). He received the 30th Nitten Special Selection Award in 1998 and is currently a member of the Nitten. His representative work "Idaku" (Embracing, 1977) is held in the collection of The National Museum of Modern Art, Tokyo. He is known for his emotionally rich and gentle depictions of human figures in the Nihonga tradition.
