Yuki Miyashita1928~不明 宮下柚葵

Miyashita Yuki is a Japanese-style (nihonga) painter born in Ueda City, Nagano Prefecture. After studying portraiture and drawing, she trained under Ito Shinro and then learned nihonga from her elder brother Miyashita Toshiki. Since 1978 she has held numerous solo exhibitions across Japan. She became a director of the International Art Association in 1983 and an invited artist in France and the United Kingdom in 1985. Among her honors are the Grand Prix at the Tokyo Asia Art Grand Exhibition (1986), the Grand Prix at the International Art Exhibition in Paris (1988), and the Tokyo Metropolitan Board of Education Award at the National Art Exhibition (1997).
